Born in Columbus, GA but raised in Kuwait for most of their life, Afini’s love for fashion started early—at just 3 years old. From putting on runway shows in their bedroom with their sisters as muses, to concocting outfits for their dolls and photographing them as supermodels, she always knew fashion would play a major role in their life.

 

Though their passion for fashion never faded, it took time to figure out exactly where they belonged in the industry. The dream shifted over the years—model, stylist, photographer—but it wasn’t until recently that everything began to align. Fashion journalism felt just right. And to make it even better, they had already been practicing (somewhat in a way) for years through their fanpage, @thelux_tribe: researching and documenting the brilliance of Law Roach, highlighting his achievements, and analyzing his impact on the culture.

 

With their current job limiting access and time to traditional paths like internships, they chose to create their own. The LuxTribe Digest is  a space to learn, grow, and develop their voice as a fashion journalist. One article at a time, they’re building the future they’ve always envisioned.
